i’m proud to welcome you to derekwebb.net. it’s so gratifying to have a community here of not just fans, but much more a community of friends. i hope what you find here is a truly safe place to engage with one another with the truth. but be warned: you might find people here who are real. people who aren’t going to flatter you or emphasize something that isn’t true about you. people who aren’t afraid to hide their sins from you, or yours from you. people who aren’t afraid to tell you what’s true even if you don’t want to hear it. and that’s just what you (and i) need. that’s who we really are as the community of God’s people. we are sick and broken and desperate for a Savior, and for each other. so enjoy each other. and enjoy the hard work of a few who are like partners with me in this calling: to remind God’s people of who we are, where we’ve come from, and where we’re going.
