I read this interview and I am not really sure what to think. I am all for not jumping in blindly to the “white middle-class republican” bandwagon, but I am just not sure what to think…
You see, there are definate issues with so-called liberalism that I know are contrary to scripture (as well as conservative, republican issues). Right now, I go to a church that ministers to the prisoners (some of whom have been released and now go to our church) as well as unwed mothers. Personally, I have many friends who struggle with the sin of homosexuality, and it is a hard, daily struggle. One of my questions from the interview is the refrence to a person’s “sexuality” a few times. I’m not sure what Derek is referring to there. Does he believe it is okay to be gay? I don’t think this is what he means but I need clarification. I would love to have a discussion on this topic.
