Art * Music * Justice Tour Dates

This list is subject to change as shows are added:

Noisetrade Blog

Noistrade now has a blog! Derek has started posting a blog keeping us “noisetraders” up to date on all the various happenings around the NT universe. New artists and web buzz are just a few of the things popping up on the blog. Be sure to check it out.

Also of note is Derek’s post (!!! yes he actually posted on a blog!) in which he says that they are “a month in with over 50 artists and just under 30,000 albums downloaded.” He also mentions some new things coming up, some within the week. We here at dw.net will keep you guys updated!

Art * Music * Justice Tour

If you’ve looked at the front of [derekwebb.net] in the last week, you’ve seen stuff about the Art * Music * Justice Tour. That tour will have:

  • Sara Groves
  • Brandon Heath
  • Charlie Peacock
  • Derek Webb
  • Sandra McCracken

For a little on the show, we talked to David McCollum:

As to this tour, the general concept of the night will be in support of IJM and Food for the Hungry, it will feature Sara as an emcee or sorts; then each of the artists will have their own time on stage to walk through their experiences in relation to the social justice and poverty issues addressed by each organization.

Dates are being booked from 18 Sep 2008 – 26 Oct 2008. A number of shows are already booked, but there are still slots available. The man to contact for booking is Bryan Myers of Creative Artists Agency.

If you want a banner for your Web site to support the tour, snag one. You’ll want to fix the URL to point at the Art * Music * Justice tour page on MySpace.

The Fourth is Fun!

A happy first birthday to Derek and Sandra’s delightful little boy, Rhodes. Yeah, it’s been a year already. Crazy, no?

And Derek’s other child came into being this week—NoiseTrade finally launched. [You will be forgiven if you were wondering if it would ever happen.] We’ve all been playing with it for a while, and I think it’s safe to say that it’s pretty cool. And hey, if that doesn’t get you to try it, maybe getting The Ringing Bell for free will…
